When installed, a new menu item is added to the Tools menu called “Open and Save Files”. To install the program only when you need it, just load it using the File-Open command. To have the Add-In always accessible when you start Excel, you can do either of the following:
Method 1:
Copy the OpensSaves.xla file to your Excel Startup subdirectory (XLSTART) directory. When you restart Excel, you will notice a new drop down menu item across the top menu bar called "Open and Save Files". Method 2:
Perform the following three steps: - Copy the OpensSaves.xla file into your Excel Directory.
- Open Excel and from the Tools menu choose the Add-in command. Next choose browse to locate the file on the hard drive and then select the OpensSaves.xla file and press OK. The file is now added to the list of Add-ins.
- To activate the program, choose the new command added to the Tools menu called: “Open and Save Files". That's It !
